Before you start

CageCheck is for adults only. The first time you visit, you'll see an Adult content warning. Before you go in, you can switch on two options for that device:

• Hide explicit branding: shows a neutral "CC" name and tab title instead of CageCheck.
• Blur images: every photo stays blurred until you tap it.

Tap I'm 18 or older · Enter to continue, or Leave. Your choices are remembered on that device, and you can change them any time in Settings → This device.

Sign up

1. On cagecheck.io, tap Join free (or Start your journey).
2. Choose a Username. It's public, 3–24 letters, numbers or underscores, and it can't be changed later.
3. Enter your Email. It's private and never shown to other members.
4. Choose a Password of at least 8 characters.
5. Under I am a…, choose:
   • Locked: tracking my journey.
   • Keyholder: holding someone's key.
   • Switch: a bit of both.
6. Tick I confirm I am 18 or older and want to join an adult community.
7. Tick I agree to the Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Content and Model Release. Each name opens the document in a new tab. See Terms and policies.
8. Tap Create account.

If someone invited you, you'll see "@alex invited you to CageCheck" (with their name) at the top of the form. They get an alert when you join.

Locked member, keyholder or switch?

• Locked: you track your own lock and check-ins, and you can ask a keyholder to hold your key. You don't need a keyholder to start.
• Keyholder: you hold the key for one or more locked members. You set their check-ins, review their photos and decide on releases.
• Switch: both. You can have a keyholder (one at a time) and hold other people's keys too. Each pairing stays separate. See Being a switch.

You have one role at a time. Family isn't a role of its own: a member of either role can be listed as family on someone's profile.

Switching roles later

1. Go to Settings and find Role.
2. Tap 🔒 Locked, 🗝 Keyholder or 🔁 Switch.
3. Tap Switch to locked member, Switch to keyholder or Become a switch.

Becoming a switch works at any time: your lock and pairings carry on. To change between Locked and Keyholder, first end any lock you have running, and end or cancel your pairings. CageCheck won't switch your role while either is active. To stop being a switch, first end what belongs to the side you're giving up: see Being a switch.

What happens next

• CageCheck emails you a link and a 6-digit code to confirm your address. See Confirm your email.
• The setup guide opens to help with your profile, notifications and the app. You can skip it. See The setup guide.
• The first 100 members get a Founding Member badge and the Player+ plan free. See Plans and badges.

Signing in

Tap Sign in, then enter your Username or email and Password. Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password? and see Account settings.
