🗝️ For keyholders

Find a keyholder (or new members)

List yourself as looking for a keyholder, or as a keyholder open to new members, with a short note, and browse who's listed.

Looking for someone to hold your key? Or a keyholder with room for one more? You can say so, and browse the people who have.

List yourself

  1. Open Keyholder (locked members) or Pairing (keyholders and switches). On a computer it's in the menu on the left.
  2. Under Find a keyholder or Find members, find Looking for a keyholder or Open to new members.
  3. Write a short note if you like (up to 200 characters): what you're looking for, your time zone, how you like to work.
  4. Switch it on.
Listing yourself as looking for a keyholder

Good to know

  • A listing lasts 30 days. It shows the date it ends, and Renew starts the 30 days again (and puts you back at the top of the list). It's turned off for you after 30 days, so the lists stay up to date.
  • Locked members: your listing ends when you pair with a keyholder. You can't be listed while you have one.
  • Keyholders: you need a verified ID to be listed, so members know who they're talking to (see Verify your ID).
  • Switches can be listed both ways: Looking for a keyholder (until someone takes your keys) and Open to new members (which needs a verified ID). Each has its own switch, and your note shows with both. See Being a switch.
  • Everyone listed needs a confirmed email address.
  • Your note is kept when the listing ends, ready for next time. To change it, edit it and tap Save note.

Browse who's listed

  1. Open Find members (the 🔍 on your phone's Feed or Home, or Search in the menu on a computer).
  2. Tap 🗝 Keyholders open to new members or 🔎 Looking for a keyholder.

The Keyholder and Pairing pages have a shortcut too. Newest listings come first, with each person's note. Tap someone to open their profile, where you can follow them, message them, or send a pairing request (Request as keyholder or Offer to hold their key). See Pair with a keyholder.

Keyholders open to new members

A listing also shows on the person's profile, with their note.

You never see people you've blocked, or who have blocked you, and suspended accounts aren't listed.
