A private check-in from CageCheck
Why CageCheck sometimes asks if you're okay, who sees it, and what "I'd like help" does.
Sometimes CageCheck sends you a private alert: A message from CageCheck, with Tap to read it. It says nothing more, in case someone else sees your phone's screen. It opens a short page that asks Is everything okay?
Only you see it. Your keyholder is never told about it, or about what you answer.
When it's sent
At most once a week, when:
- you asked your keyholder to lift a locked power and they haven't answered for a week (counted from your first ask, however often you've asked since),
- you've used emergency unlock or your safeword 3 times in a week, or
- you report your keyholder.
It doesn't mean anything is wrong. It's a quiet way to make sure you have what you need.
Your answer
- I'm okay: that's it. Nothing else happens, and the page reminds you that you can write to us any time.
- I'd like help: a private conversation with CageCheck's team opens, under Help → Your conversations. Tap Open the conversation and tell us what's going on and what you'd like. For example, we can lift a lock for you. Your keyholder is told only that CageCheck lifted it, never why.
You can come back to the page from the alert at any time.
Whatever you answer, these always work
- Emergency unlock, on your lock page.
- Your safeword, on any task or penance.
- Ending the pairing, at any time (Pair with a keyholder).
- Blocking or reporting your keyholder, from their profile.
- Asking your keyholder to lift a locked power (Your keyholder's powers).
