Proof on the feed

A keyholder can post the proof the member they hold sends for tasks and penances (photos and videos) on the member's feed, once the member agrees. Until then, proof stays private: only the two of you and CageCheck moderators see it.

Once the member agrees, they can't take it back: only the keyholder can lift it. The keyholder still chooses each time, proof by proof.

Asking (keyholders)

1. On Home, tap the member you hold (for example Riley).
2. In the Proof on their feed card, tap Ask for their followers or Ask for all members.
3. Tap Ask Riley.

Riley is asked in Settings. The card says when they agree, or if they say Not now (you can ask again a day later).

Asking for fewer people than they agreed to (all members to followers only) just changes it, and they're told. Asking for more asks them again; what they agreed to stands until they answer.

Agreeing (locked members)

You're notified when your keyholder asks. Open Settings and find Proof on the feed.

• Agree…: read what it means, tick My proof only shows me, or adults who agreed to it being posted., and tap Agree. You need a verified ID (see Verify your ID).
• Not now: nothing changes, and your keyholder is told.

Once you've agreed, Settings says Morgan can post your proof, when you agreed, and until when it's locked.

• It's locked for up to 90 days. Until then, only Morgan can lift it: Ask Morgan to stop sends them a note (once a day). For 24 hours after you agree, you can undo it on your Powers page (Changed my mind).
• In your first week together it doesn't lock until day 8, when you confirm it on your Powers page. Until then you can take it back.
• Once the date has passed, it isn't locked any more: tap Take it back in Settings whenever you like. Morgan is told.
• You can always delete a single post of your proof. Morgan is told, and that proof never goes up again.
• Ending your pairing ends it.

It can also be part of a contract: when you both sign one with Proof on the feed, your signature is your agreement. See Contracts.

Before you send proof

While Morgan can post your proof, the task or penance page says so under the buttons: "Once Morgan accepts it, they can post proof taken in the app on your feed". Live penance recordings say it too.

What can go up

• Only proof taken in the app: the in-app camera, 🎥 Record video on your phone, or a live penance recording. Photos and videos chosen from your library or from My media stay private.
• Only proof your keyholder accepted.
• Never a private task's proof, or the proof of a penance for missing one.
• Never to more people than you agreed to.
• Never a live penance recording you decided about through Ask to post it (kept private, waiting for your answer, or taken down by you). That answer stands. See Penance videos in the feed.
• Each task's or penance's proof goes up once. If it's taken down, it stays down.

Posting it (keyholders)

When you accept it: in the task or penance, tick Post the proof on Riley's feed, choose who sees it, add a caption if you like, and tap Accept and post.

Later: open an accepted task or penance and tap 📌 Post the proof on Riley's feed.

Up to 6 photos and one video go up. If the proof can't go up, the task or penance says why (for example, it came from their library).

How the post looks

• It's Riley's post, on their profile, marked 📌 Task proof · posted by Morgan (or Penance proof).
• The photos and video are blurred until someone taps them, and the post has its own copy of them.
• It never shows what the task or penance asked.
• It takes the place of the "completed a task from Morgan" post, with its reactions and comments.
• Riley is told each time, with a link to the post.

Taking it down

• Riley: tap ••• on the post, then Delete post. Morgan is told.
• Morgan: tap Take it down on the post. Riley is told.

The proof itself stays with the task or penance either way.

It also comes down when:

• you delete the live penance recording it came from;
• the task is made private (by either of you).

Lifting it (keyholders)

In the Proof on their feed card, tap Lift it (or Lift on their Powers page). You can't post their proof any more. Posts already up stay until Riley deletes them. Once its lock has ended, Riley can take it back too, and you're told.
