Let followers add time

While a lock game timer is running, you can let the people who follow you add time to it. You choose the most they can add in total, and you can turn it off whenever you want.

Turn it on

1. Start a lock game on Home (see Lock games).
2. Under your timer, find Let followers add time and tap Turn on.
3. Choose Most they can add in total: 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h or 72 h.
4. If you like, switch on Tell my followers to post it in the feed for your followers, with a link to your profile. Either way, people who follow you see it on your profile.
5. Tap Turn on.

While it's on

The card on Home shows Followers can add time, how much they've added out of your total (for example "Followers added 2 h of 6 h") and Recent additions: who added what, and when.

• You get an alert like "@alex added 1 hour to your lock timer". If more time is added within half an hour and you haven't read that alert yet, it's updated instead of sending another ("@alex and 2 others added…").
• If your timer is hidden, it stays hidden: you're told how much people added, never the time left. If it isn't hidden, the alert says when it now ends.
• If you have a keyholder, they're told when you turn it on and see who added what. They can still add time themselves, as before.

Change the total or turn it off

• Change total lets you lower or raise the total. It can't go below what your followers have already added; choosing exactly that closes it.
• Turn off stops anyone adding more. Time already added stays on your timer. You can turn it on again while the timer runs.

It also closes by itself when your followers reach your total, or when the timer is up, you stop it, or your lock ends.

Add time to someone else's timer

If someone you follow has turned this on, their profile shows Add time to …'s lock timer:

1. Open their profile.
2. Tap +15 min, +1 h or +6 h.

• You can add up to 6 hours a day to one member (over any 24 hours). Once you've added some, the card says how much more you can add today, and when you can add more if you've reached it.
• You can never add more than what's left of their total.
• If their timer is hidden, nobody sees the time left, not even you. If it isn't, you see when it ends.
• Only people who follow them can add time. Their keyholder adds time from their own page instead.
• Nothing here involves money. It's just time on a game timer.

For keyholders

On your page for the person you hold, Followers can add time is on unless you switch it off. Switching it off closes it at once if it's on, and they're told. The time already added stays. While it's off, they can't turn it on.
