Achievements
What achievements you can earn, how CageCheck awards them, and who can see them on your profile.
Achievements are medals for things you've done on CageCheck: lock time, checking in on time, writing in your diary, keyholding, posting and more. CageCheck works them out from your history, so you never have to claim one.
Where to find them
Open your profile (on a phone: More, then your name at the top) and tap the achievements row under your name. It shows your latest medals and how many you have, like 7 achievements ›. Everyone's profile has one once they've earned something.
On your own achievements page you see everything you can earn:
- Earned medals, with the date you earned them.
- A progress bar on the ones you haven't got yet, like "12 of 14 days". For posting weeks in a row, the bar shows the run you're on now. If you had a longer run before, you also see it, like Your best: 6 weeks in a row.
- A count at the top of how many you have out of how many you can earn.
- How rare each one is, like "8% of members".
What you can earn
- Lock time: your longest single lock, from First day (24 hours) through One week and One month up to One year. A timed release from your keyholder doesn't break a lock.
- Check-ins and diary: your first photo check-in (Picture proof), checking in on time on 7, 30 or 100 days of one lock with none late or missed (Right on time, Clockwork, Never late), locking back up before a release ran out (Back on time), and writing in your diary 7 days in a row (Dear diary).
- Seasonal: limited-time medals, like Locktober 2026 for staying locked all of October 2026 (keyholder releases count), Survived the Haunting for checking in on every day of Lock-O-Lantern Week, October 25 to 31, 2026, Held Out for checking in on every day of No-Nut November, November 2 to Thanksgiving (November 26), 2026, All Wrapped Up for checking in on every day from November 27 to December 31, 2026, The Longest Night for a check-in between 6 PM and midnight on December 21, 2026, and First Lock of 2027 for a check-in between 11:30 PM on New Year's Eve and 12:30 AM on January 1. Any check-in counts, and the days are your own calendar days. A seasonal medal may show up in your list shortly before its season starts. Once the season is over it can't be earned any more, and it disappears from the list of anyone who didn't get it. Medals you've earned stay on your profile for good.
- Keyholding: holding someone's keys for 30 or 90 days (Trusted keyholder, Keeper), and reviewing 100 check-in photos (Sharp eye).
- Community: your first post (Hello, world), posting regularly (below), hosting your first live (On air), and finishing a community challenge (Challenger). See Community challenges.
- Games: badges from the Game Center, like Thanksgiving Feast, Golden Stash, Ready for Winter, Keeper of the Stash, Lucky Break and Harvest Home from Squirrel Away and the Harvest, Snow Globe from Unwrapped, and the Mystery Box ones. A game's seasonal badges can only be earned while it's on.
Posting regularly
- Posting on 7, 30 or 100 different days: Regular, Familiar face and Community pillar. Several posts on one day count as one day.
- Posting in 4 or 12 weeks in a row: Week after week and Steady voice. A week runs Monday to Sunday, and one post in a week is enough. A week with no posts starts the count again.
Only posts you write count: not the automatic activity posts CageCheck makes for things like your check-ins, milestones and achievements, and not posts a moderator removed. Days and weeks follow your own time zone (CageCheck uses the one your phone or computer is set to). If you delete a post later, you keep any achievement you've already earned.
Locked members are shown the lock, check-in, diary and seasonal medals. Keyholders are shown the keyholding ones. Everyone has the community ones. If you switch roles, you keep everything you've earned.
How you earn them
CageCheck checks every few minutes, and straight away when you open your own achievements page. When you earn one:
- You get an alert (achievements are never emailed).
- A post can go in the feed for the people who see your activity. If you earn several at once, only one is posted. Lock-time medals aren't posted, because the feed already shows your lock milestones.
To stop these posts, open Settings, go to Activity in the feed and turn off Post new achievements. Your achievements still show on your profile. If your activity is set to Off, nothing is posted at all. See Activity in the feed.
When CageCheck adds new achievements, you also get the ones your past activity already earned. When the posting achievements arrived, members who had already earned some got a single alert listing them, like 3 new achievements, and nothing was posted in the feed. After that, new ones work as above.
Achievements are just for fun: missing a day or a week never costs you anything, and you keep what you've earned.
Who can see them
Other members see the achievements you've earned, but not your progress toward the rest.
If you're a locked member and turn off Show my lock streak on my profile (in Settings → Profile & privacy), your lock time, check-in, diary and seasonal medals are hidden from other members, and none of them are posted in the feed. They still show for you. See Profiles.
Trophies from community challenges show separately on your profile, under your name.
