Following and followers
Follow and unfollow members, see who follows you, remove a follower, and what following someone changes.
Follow someone
Tap Follow on their profile, in search results, or in Suggested for you. The button changes to Following (on a profile, Following ✓). They get a notification that you started following them.
Unfollow
Tap Following (or Following ✓) again. It happens straight away, and they aren't told.
What following changes
When you follow someone:
- Their posts show up in the Following tab of the feed.
- You can see their Followers only posts.
- You see their activity, like check-ins and milestones, if they share it with followers (that's the default).
- You get a notification when they go live, and you can watch lives they open to My followers. For a followers-only live penance, you need to have followed them before it started. See Go live.
- Messages from people you follow go straight to your chats instead of your message requests.
- If they let followers add time to their lock game timer, you can, from their profile. See Let followers add time.
Following is one-way: someone you follow doesn't see your followers-only posts unless they follow you too. Only people who follow you can be added to your Family.
Your keyholder follows you
When a pairing starts, the keyholder and the locked member automatically follow each other, so your keyholder sees the activity you share with followers. Either of you can unfollow later. Ending a pairing doesn't unfollow anyone.
See followers and following
On any profile, tap Following or Followers under the bio. Newest come first; tap Load more to see more. Follows you marks people who follow you. You can follow or unfollow people straight from the list.
Remove a follower
- Open your profile and tap Followers.
- Tap ••• next to the person.
- Tap Remove follower.
They stop seeing your followers-only posts and activity. They aren't told, and they can follow you again later. To stop that, block them instead: blocking removes follows in both directions. See Privacy and safety.
