The Game Center

Games tied to your check-ins: earn XP and levels, play Squirrel Away, fill the Harvest, open Mystery Boxes, and wear frames and flair. Just for fun, they never change your lock.

The Game Center is where CageCheck's games live. Your check-ins forage acorns, earn boxes and add XP. Keyholders play too, as the Keeper in Squirrel Away and the Wrapper in Unwrapped for the people whose keys they hold.

Games are just for fun. Nothing in them changes your lock, its timer, a release or your keyholder's rules.

Find it

On a phone: tap More, then Game Center.
On a computer or tablet: choose Game Center in the menu on the left.

Your Home screen also shows a card while there's something waiting: a forage, a tough nut, a box, or a card to decide as Keeper.

The first time you open the Game Center, there's a Common Mystery Box waiting for you.

XP and levels

You earn XP for:

Each day you check in: 10 XP (the first check-in that day).
Each achievement: 50 XP.
Reviewing a check-in photo as a keyholder: 5 XP.
Deciding a card as Keeper (or Warden): 5 XP. Checking proof of a tough nut or a dare: 5 XP.
Cracking a tough nut or doing a dare: 25 XP for each tier (a tier 2 one gives 50 XP).
The Feast in Squirrel Away: 2 XP for each acorn in your stash.
Treats in Trick or Treat and Mystery Boxes.

When the Game Center started, you got XP for what you'd already done: 10 for each day you'd checked in, 50 for each achievement, and 5 for each check-in photo you'd reviewed as a keyholder.

Level 2 takes 100 XP, level 3 takes 300, level 5 takes 1,000 and level 10 takes 4,500. You get an alert at each new level. Your level shows on your profile.

Frames and flair

Frames go around your avatar everywhere: posts, comments, your profile and member lists. They come from Mystery Boxes, the Last Candle on Halloween night, and the Feast on Thanksgiving.
Flair is an emoji next to your name. It comes from Uncommon Mystery Boxes.

To wear one, open Mystery Box, scroll to Your collection and tap it. Tap None to take it off.

The games

Unwrapped (the holidays, November 27 to December 31, 2026): open a gift for each day you check in, and keyholders can wrap some ahead. See Unwrapped.
Squirrel Away (No-Nut November 2026): forage once for each day you check in, and bring your stash to the Feast on Thanksgiving. See Squirrel Away.
The Harvest (No-Nut November 2026): one goal everyone fills together, a basket for each day you check in. See The Harvest.
Trick or Treat (Halloween 2026): a 13-room haunted mansion, with a door for each day you checked in. See Trick or Treat.
Mystery Box: a box for checking in days in a row. See Mystery Box.
Lock games: the wheel and dice for your lock timer, on your Home screen while you're locked. See Lock games.

Some moments have a Share button: your stash opened at the Feast, reaching the Crypt, the Last Candle, and Rare, Epic or Legendary boxes. Sharing puts a post on your feed for your followers, or for all members if that's your activity setting. Nothing is shared unless you tap it. If your activity in the feed is turned off in Settings, nothing is posted.
