Share to X, Bluesky and anywhere

You can share your lock streak, a check-in, or any of your own posts, videos and activity posts included. There are two ways, on the same sheet:

• Post with your account: connect your X or Bluesky account once, and CageCheck posts it for you, photos included (and videos, to Bluesky), so it can delete it later too. With an account connected, this comes first on the sheet, already picked.
• Share anywhere (or Or share another way when an account is connected): CageCheck hands it to your phone's share sheet, or opens X or Bluesky with your text. You post it yourself, from your own account. Nothing to connect.

You choose and preview every share. CageCheck never posts anything on its own.

Where to share from

• Your streak (locked members): tap ↗ Share streak on Home, or in the Your lock card in the right-hand column on a computer.
• A check-in: tap ↗ Share right after you check in, or when you open a check-in photo from your history.
• A post: tap ↗ Share under any of your own posts, or ••• then ↗ Share. That includes video posts and activity posts like "checked in · Day 12". Right after you post, CageCheck also offers ↗ Share.
• Your Locktober Wrapped (November 2026): tap Share outside CageCheck… on its last card, then share the 🎃 Wrapped card or text. See Locktober Wrapped.

A private task post stays between you and your keyholder, so it has no Share.

Share something

1. Under What to share, pick one (the choices depend on what you're sharing):
   • 🏷 Streak card: a "Day 12" image. Untick Show @riley on the card to leave your username off.
   • 📷 Photo: the photos in your post (up to 4), or your check-in photo. For a check-in, untick Keep the CageCheck stamp (date, code, and serial) to crop the stamp off.
   • 🎥 Video: the video in your post, with CageCheck's mark on it.
   • ✏️ Text only. A post without photos or a video is always shared as text.

3. Share it one of the ways below.

Share anywhere

• Share photo… (or Share video…, or Share…) opens your phone's share sheet with the file and your text. Pick the X app, Bluesky, Messages or any other app. On X this is the way to post a photo or video without connecting anything.
• Open X and Open Bluesky start a post in that app with your text, in your own account. They can't attach a file, so tap Save photo (or Save video) first and attach it there. To have CageCheck post the photos for you, use Post with your account instead.
• Save photo / Save video / Save card downloads the file.
• Copy text copies your text.
• Add my invite link adds your invite link to the text. It shows your username. People who join with it count as your invites.

When you share a photo or video this way, tick This is my own photo (or video). Everyone in it is an adult who agreed to it being posted publicly. On X, keep your media marked as sensitive (see below).

Because you post it yourself, CageCheck doesn't know where it went: delete it on X or Bluesky yourself if you change your mind.

Post with your account

1. Your connected accounts are already picked. Tap one to leave it out. Ones not connected yet link to Settings.
2. Check the counters: 280 characters on X, 300 on Bluesky.
3. Tap Post to X, Post to Bluesky or Post to X & Bluesky.

When it's done you see Shared, with Open ↗ to see it on each site.

Post a video to Bluesky

CageCheck can post your video to Bluesky for you (not to X: for X, use Share video… or Save video).

1. On the video post, tap Share. With Bluesky connected, 🎥 Video and Bluesky are already picked.
2. Edit the Text (300 characters).
3. Pick a content label, and tick This is my own video. Everyone in it is an adult who agreed to it being posted publicly.
4. Tap Post video to Bluesky.

Bluesky gets each video ready before it's posted, which can take a few minutes. The sheet follows it (Sending it to Bluesky…, Bluesky is getting it ready…, Posting it…). You can close it: you're told when your video is up, or why it isn't. One video goes at a time.

Bluesky takes videos of up to 300 MB and 10 minutes, and limits how many each account can post a day. If your Bluesky email isn't confirmed or you've reached the day's limit, CageCheck tells you before sending anything, in Bluesky's words.

If CageCheck asks you to remove a link, that's because it can't include links in the X posts it sends for you. Open X can.

Connect an account

You need a confirmed email address first.

1. Open Settings and find Sharing to X & Bluesky.
2. For X, tap Connect, sign in to X and allow access. You come back to Settings and see "X connected". If it says Not available on CageCheck yet under X, use Share anywhere or Bluesky.
3. For Bluesky, tap Connect and follow the steps shown:
   • On Bluesky, go to Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords and add an app password named "CageCheck" (leave direct messages off).
   • Back in CageCheck, enter your Bluesky handle and the App password. It looks like xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
   • Tap Connect Bluesky.

Never use your main Bluesky password. You can revoke the app password on Bluesky at any time.

Sharing photos and videos

• You need a verified ID to share photos and videos outside CageCheck. Start it from ID verification in Settings by tapping Verify, or Verify now on the share sheet.
• Bluesky: when CageCheck posts photos or a video for you, pick a content label (Suggestive, Nudity or Adult (porn)). Bluesky hides labeled posts from people who haven't turned on adult content. No label is only offered when nothing is marked as showing nudity or sexual content. When you post it yourself, add the label in Bluesky.
• X: X only allows adult media from accounts that mark it as sensitive. On X, go to Settings and privacy → Privacy and safety → Your posts and turn on "Mark media you post as containing material that may be sensitive". To have CageCheck post photos for you, turn on Photo sharing to X in Settings, tick I've turned this on, and tap Turn on photo sharing.
• Check-in photos your keyholder rejected, or that were deleted after the retention period, can't be shared.
• A check-in video is shared from its post on the feed (see Check-ins on the feed).
• Videos you recorded or uploaded are free to share. Sharing the recording of a live comes with Player+, like downloading it.
• Live penance videos stay on CageCheck: you can share the text, not the video.

Delete a share

This is for shares CageCheck posted for you.

1. In Settings, under Sharing to X & Bluesky, find it in Recent shares (tap Show all if needed).
2. Tap 🗑, then Delete post.

It's removed from your X or Bluesky account, with its likes and replies. Deleting a post on CageCheck also deletes the copies CageCheck shared from it.

Disconnect

Tap Disconnect next to the account, then Disconnect again. CageCheck's access ends straight away. Posts it already shared stay on X or Bluesky, and CageCheck can't delete them after you disconnect, so delete them first if you want them gone. When you delete your CageCheck account, it can delete them for you (see Account settings).

If an account shows needs reconnecting, tap Reconnect.
